1. Fort of Taragarh

The Taragarh Fort overlooks Bundi village Hill winding its peaks. With several towers, abandoned buildings and tanks on stairs, it houses incalculable bat colonies. The fort is virtually abandoned and exploring it involves walking along paths full of vegetation and monkeys. Bundi is called the city of tanks stepped. Since it has more than 50 copies. Probably none of them have the grandeur and magnificence of the Gujarat tanks, but they are very common throughout the village and the population does not even realize they are there. Most tanks are close, as rainwater is increasingly scarce and piped water is now beginning to reach the population. In the city of Bundi, these tanks are called baoris, a local term that designates the place where communities have access to water.

Bundi’s bazaar is magnificent. It is full of craftsmen who make bracelets from Rajasthan, saris and even clothes. There are jewelers, barbers and lots of crafts. Bundi’s bazaar is the ideal place to buy a turban and learn how to do it.

With the fall of the sun, the bazaar is filled with vendors of fresh produce, which accumulate in the part outside the walls. Near the Rani Ki Baori where women sell fruits, vegetables, earthenware pots for water transport, etc.  For men, it is incumbent to sell the already prepared foods, juices, and snacks.

6. Jait Sagar Lake and Sukh Niwas Mahal Palace

When visiting Bundi, grab a rickshaw and head to Jait Sagar Lake. A few kilometers from the center of Bundi is Jait Sagar Lake – the most famous lake in the village. The lake is a great destination for the local people to wander around at the end of the day and at the end of the week. The banks of the lake are covered with water lilies, which display pink lotus flowers at the right time. On the shores of the lake is the summer palace of the Maharajas, the Sukh Niwas Mahal, an 18th-century palace.

7. Shikar Burj

The Shikar Burj are the royal tombs of the Maharajas of Bundi. They are royal cenofálios, also in the margin of the lake Jait Sagar, but a little more ahead of the Sukh Niwas Mahal. 8. Cenotaphs of the 84 pillars

Near the station are the Cenotaphs of the 81 pillars. It was constructed by the Maharaja of Bundi in 1683. There is a large Shivling in the Cenotaphs covered by decorated roof top.
